About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Wrenchly Ltd ("Wrenchly", "the Company") website, AI platform, reports, applications, communications, and related services.
By accessing or using Wrenchly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. Using Wrenchly
Wrenchly provides an AI-powered platform designed to help vehicle owners understand potential vehicle issues through AI-generated technical reports, informational guidance, and localised repair cost estimates.
By using Wrenchly, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information about vehicles and symptoms.
- Provide accurate vehicle, location, and contact information where requested.
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes.
- Not misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, exploit, or attempt unauthorised access to the platform.
- Not use automated methods to access or extract data from the platform without written permission.
Wrenchly reports may include links to third-party products, services, businesses, booking platforms, educational content, videos, or informational resources. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning Wrenchly Ltd may receive a commission if a purchase, booking, or transaction occurs through those links at no additional cost to the user.
1A. Vehicle Lookup Services
Wrenchly may provide vehicle identification or lookup functionality using registration numbers, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), or other identifiers. Vehicle information obtained through lookup services may originate from third-party databases and sources.
Wrenchly does not guarantee that lookup information is complete, current, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. Users remain responsible for verifying vehicle details before relying upon them.
Vehicle registration numbers and related vehicle information may be stored and processed to improve report accuracy, service delivery, fraud prevention, quality assurance, and customer support.
2. Nature of AI Reports
Informational Insight
Wrenchly reports are generated using user-submitted information, vehicle data, statistical modelling, general automotive knowledge, historical trends, and regional market information. Reports are probabilistic guidance only, intended to help users have informed conversations with repair professionals and make more informed decisions regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.
Reports do not constitute:
- Mechanical diagnoses
- Professional engineering advice
- Repair instructions
- Safety certifications
- Roadworthiness assessments
- Legal, insurance, or regulatory advice
Scope of Service
Wrenchly does not physically inspect vehicles. Reports do not constitute confirmation of a fault, defect, repair requirement, safety condition, roadworthiness status, legal compliance status, or vehicle valuation.
Wrenchly analyses only the symptoms and information submitted by the user. Wrenchly does not conduct a comprehensive vehicle inspection and cannot identify faults, safety issues, or risks that were not indicated in the information provided. The absence of a fault, warning, or safety concern in a report does not mean no such fault or risk exists.
Professional Synergy
Wrenchly is intended to complement, not replace, qualified mechanics, engineers, technicians, inspectors, or other professionals. Users should obtain independent professional inspection and advice before undertaking repairs, purchasing parts, making safety-related decisions, or relying on AI-generated outputs.
AI Limitations
Artificial intelligence systems may generate inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, or incorrect outputs. Different users providing different information may receive different results for similar symptoms.
AI-generated outputs should be treated as informational assistance only and not as definitive conclusions regarding vehicle condition, safety, roadworthiness, repair requirements, parts compatibility, repair costs, or legal compliance. Users acknowledge that AI-generated reports may contain errors, omissions, assumptions, or limitations.
Non-Reliance in Disputes
AI reports should not be used as evidence or relied upon in disputes with repair businesses, garages, mechanics, insurers, regulators, government authorities, courts, tribunals, or vehicle sellers or purchasers, unless independently verified by appropriately qualified professionals.
Reports may include suggested components, possible causes, replacement parts, repair pathways, urgency ratings, likelihood scores, or general recommendations. These do not constitute confirmation of fault, suitability, compatibility, safety, or necessity and must be independently verified.
2A. DIY Information Disclaimer
Where a report references the possibility of a repair being suitable for DIY, including difficulty levels, estimated times, or general repair considerations, this information is provided for guidance only. It does not constitute instructions, technical training, professional supervision, health and safety advice, or legal compliance advice.
Vehicle repairs may involve safety-critical systems, specialist tools, hazardous materials, technical expertise, or legal obligations. Users are solely responsible for assessing their competence, safety, legal compliance, and suitability before attempting any repair. Wrenchly accepts no liability for injury, death, damage, loss, or expense arising from DIY repairs undertaken in reliance on AI-generated information.
2B. Reliance on Reports and Decisions Not to Seek Inspection or Repair
Wrenchly's urgency ratings and likelihood scores are indicative only and do not constitute a safety assessment or confirmation that a vehicle is safe to drive. Users are solely responsible for deciding whether and when to seek professional inspection or repair. Wrenchly accepts no liability for injury, death, or damage arising from a user's decision to continue using a vehicle, or to delay or forgo professional inspection or repair, in reliance on a Wrenchly report.
2C. Third-Party Links, Parts, and External Content
Wrenchly reports and platform content may include links to third-party websites, marketplaces, retailers, parts suppliers, booking services, repair networks, garages, videos, educational resources, and other content. Wrenchly does not control, endorse, verify, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the availability, accuracy, suitability, compatibility, pricing, reliability, legality, or quality of third-party content, products, services, or businesses.
Users acknowledge and agree that:
- Any purchase or booking is undertaken at their own risk.
- Product compatibility is not guaranteed by Wrenchly.
- Prices displayed by third parties may change.
- Third-party content may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable.
- Third-party providers may change their services without notice.
Wrenchly does not act as an agent, broker, repair provider, retailer, marketplace operator, or intermediary. Any transaction or engagement occurs directly between the user and the third party. Wrenchly shall not be liable for incorrect or incompatible parts purchased, use of third-party products or services, reliance on external content, bookings arranged through third parties, delays or failures by third-party providers, or disputes between users and third parties.
3. AI Contestability & Review
In accordance with applicable law, including the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 where applicable, users may request:
- An explanation of the logic used in their report
- Further information regarding how the report was generated
- Human review of an AI-generated output where appropriate
Requests should be sent to:
Wrenchly reserves the right to verify identity before responding.
4. Partner & Business Interactions
Wrenchly may collaborate with businesses, organisations, retailers, repair networks, membership organisations, motoring organisations, garages, vehicle service providers, and other commercial partners. Such organisations are independent entities. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Wrenchly does not endorse, guarantee, supervise, or assume responsibility for their conduct, services, pricing, products, business practices, or data handling activities.
White-Label Services
Certain Wrenchly services may be presented under the branding of partner organisations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the underlying AI reporting technology is provided by Wrenchly Ltd. The appearance of a partner's branding does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, warranty, or guarantee by Wrenchly regarding that partner's products or services. Unless specifically disclosed at the point of collection, user submissions, AI reports, and personal data are not automatically shared with the partner organisation.
Feedback & Ratings
Wrenchly may invite users to provide feedback regarding report accuracy, vehicle faults discovered, repairs undertaken, repair outcomes, repair costs, user experience, service quality, and similar matters. Feedback may be used for quality assurance, statistical analysis, diagnostic framework improvement, AI improvement, service enhancement, product development, benchmarking, and research and analysis, in aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified form.
Business Indemnity
Businesses that receive user data, leads, enquiries, or customer information through Wrenchly fully indemnify Wrenchly against claims arising from their conduct, services, content, handling of personal data, and legal or regulatory compliance failures.
4A. Business Hub Pages and Listings
Wrenchly may provide business profiles, hub pages, listings, directories, or white-labelled pages displaying information including services, availability, opening times, contact information, pricing, branding, reviews, and promotional information. Information displayed may be supplied by the relevant business. Wrenchly does not independently verify all information and does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Users rely upon such information at their own risk.
5. Localised Estimates & Pricing
Repair cost estimates are non-binding estimates only. Estimates may be generated using location information supplied by users. Users are responsible for providing accurate location information.
Repair estimates:
- Are not quotations, offers, or guarantees
- May vary significantly from actual repair costs
- May exclude taxes, fees, diagnostics, transportation costs, or other charges
Market conditions may cause actual prices to differ materially from estimates. The presence or absence of estimates does not affect the AI analysis provided.
6. Functional Availability & Platform Errors
The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Wrenchly does not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous availability, timely delivery, error-free operation, or compatibility with all devices. Wrenchly shall not be liable for outages, delays, interruptions, software bugs, third-party failures, data loss, or technical malfunctions.
7. No Warranty
Wrenchly provides services without warranties, express or implied, including warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, completeness, availability, fitness for purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or timeliness.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wrenchly, its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and partners shall not be liable for direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, or data.
This includes losses arising from reliance on AI reports, DIY repairs, vehicle damage, property damage, incorrect parts purchases, third-party services, third-party bookings, third-party content, business hub pages, shared reports, or vehicle lookup inaccuracies.
Users may choose to share reports with mechanics, garages, businesses, insurers, purchasers, sellers, or other third parties. Once shared, Wrenchly has no control over further use, storage, interpretation, or distribution of those reports.
Total liability shall not exceed any amount paid directly by the user to Wrenchly for the relevant service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

All platform content, AI outputs, report structures, scoring methodologies, software, branding, workflows, prompts, databases, diagnostic frameworks, and intellectual property rights belong to Wrenchly Ltd or its licensors. Users retain ownership of information they submit.
Users grant Wrenchly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, process, analyse, store, reproduce, improve, and derive insights from submitted information for service delivery, customer support, fraud prevention, security, quality assurance, statistical analysis, product improvement, AI improvement, and research and development.

5. AI Processing and Automated Outputs
Wrenchly uses AI systems to analyse submitted vehicle information and generate reports. Personal data is not used to train large-scale generative AI models.
Wrenchly may analyse vehicle information, report outputs, user interactions, and voluntary feedback in anonymised, aggregated, pseudonymised, or de-identified form to improve report quality, estimate accuracy, platform performance, diagnostic frameworks, question logic, and to detect fraud and misuse. Personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, and telephone numbers are not used for platform improvement activities.
AI reports are informational only and do not produce legal, financial, employment-related, insurance-related, or similarly significant effects. No automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 UK GDPR occurs. Users may request general clarification regarding how a report was generated and may request review where appropriate.
Outputs such as probabilistic assessments, suggested components, potential repair pathways, estimated repair costs, DIY suitability indicators, and general guidance information are not definitive and should not be relied upon without independent verification.
5A. Vehicle Identification and Lookup Services
Where available, Wrenchly may use vehicle registration numbers, VINs, or similar identifiers to retrieve vehicle specifications and related information from trusted third-party data sources. This information is used to improve report accuracy, improve user experience, reduce manual data entry, and assist report generation. B. Garage and Business Lead Services
Where users voluntarily request contact from, submit enquiries to, book with, or otherwise engage with a participating garage, mechanic, repair business, or service provider through Wrenchly, information necessary to facilitate that request may be shared with the relevant business. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data, the purpose of processing, legal obligations, security requirements, and legitimate business needs.
Anonymised, aggregated, pseudonymised, de-identified, or statistical information may be retained indefinitely for research, benchmarking, quality assurance, service improvement, and product development purposes.
